With more than 30 years experience in the NSW planning system in both Local Government and private practice, George has a substantial knowledge base and broad experience to draw on when dealing with urban planning issues throughout NSW.

Locally, with over a decade of experience working at Warringah Council and Pittwater Council (now Northern Beaches Council), George has in-depth knowledge of the processes, procedures and likely hurdles when dealing with Northern Beaches Council, and can provide expert guidance to navigate your way through complex planning requirements.

George has a Bachelor of Town Planning degree from the University of NSW, complemented by a Graduate Certificate in Urban Design from the University of Sydney, and a Diploma in Law from the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) and he was admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2021. This combination of town planning, urban design and legal qualifications is unique and provides a broad, multi-disciplinary perspective when approaching urban planning issues.

In 2024, George was appointed as an Expert Panel Member of the Willoughby Local Planning Panel, being a Panel of respected independent professionals with proven expertise in development assessment. Local Planning Panels determine development applications on behalf of Councils in relation to matters such as sensitive development, contentious development where there are a high number of objections and where development contravenes a standard by more than 10%.

George is a full member of the Planning Institute of Australia, being the national body representing the planning profession.
